Hardcover Anniversary Book

The Challenge

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business sought to celebrate the 60th anniversary of women’s admission to the business school through the stories and experiences of the alumnae themselves. Students and staff from McDonough had conducted alumnae interviews and produced draft text but needed the stories to be compiled, edited, and designed to tell a cohesive story in a visually appealing format.

The Solution

WCM’s print and web designers, editors, and production professionals created a 280-page, 10″ x 12″ hardbound commemorative book (print and digital) and website featuring first-person interviews, historical context, and imagery from 1960 to the present. 60 Years of Alumnae: Memories, Milestones & Momentum ensures that the stories and achievements of McDonough’s inspiring alumnae will be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The companion website—complete with imagery, short summaries, and previews—was used as a promotional and ecommerce tool to advertise and sell the book.
